We aren’t talking about an extreme renovation or anything like that. There are just a few simple steps you can take to get the most out of our service.

Declutter the Area 

You don’t need to remove all of your old junk or anything. Just look at the area you want to be cleaned and pick up a little bit. Doing this eliminates a massive tripping hazard from our team and will allow us to get right after the area needing to be cleaned. Items that are frequently overlooked include shoes, toys, books, and small electronic devices.

Put Lighter Pieces of Furniture in Other Rooms

Don’t worry about the big heavy pieces of furniture that you can’t move. If you want to clean those areas, we would recommend finding somebody to help you move them. But any lighter piece you can move on your own should be moved before we arrive to ensure we make the most of our time together. Simply moving small furniture such as plant stands, floor lamps, coffee tables, and ottomans can improve the ability of our technicians to give your carpet the deep, thoroughly clean it needs.

Make Sure Important Items Are Kept Safe

Look, we do promise that we are extremely careful in your home. We know that we are guests in your home and will treat it as such. But accidents do happen from time to time. So we strongly encourage all clients to secure fragile items, heirlooms, and valuables in a safe location to prevent avoidable accidents and minimize unnecessary risks. 

Do Your Own Walkthrough and Note Problem Areas

Doing this simple walkthrough beforehand will help you see specific stains and areas you need to be cleaned. So be sure to do it and make it known. It’s also helpful to let us know if there is anything such as pet urine in the carpet (if there is a large amount of urine, let us know when we schedule your appointment so we can be prepared to clean it!). Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any areas you think require special attention or that you have questions about.

Put Your Pets in Another Room

Everything we use is safe for use around pets, but we don’t want to stress them out. Plus, they can sometimes cause another tripping hazard. Take some time to put your pet in another safe room before our carpet cleaners arrive. If we’re cleaning the entire home, we recommend taking the pets out of the home for the duration of the cleaning. It’ll only be a matter of hours before they can have free reign to enjoy your freshly cleaned carpet! 

Tell Us Where to Park

Our equipment and vans are kind of big and clunky. In a city like San Francisco, we all know how hard it can be to park and we need to be as close as possible to your home. Thus, we ask clients to facilitate nearby parking and make a clear path to the service area.
